The USSSA Southern Nationals for 8U through 14U runs July 7-11, 2027 across Plano, Frisco and McKinney, Texas, with Heritage Yards in Plano as the main complex. Seven games guaranteed over four days: four pool games Thursday and Friday, seeded bracket play Saturday, then Gold and Silver brackets Sunday. Every team plays all four days.
Entry is $699 for 8U Open and $899 for 9U through 14U. This is not a stay-to-play event - book where you want. Kids 17 and under are free at the gate, and three coach passes are texted to each team manager before the event.

All teams play all four days. Pool schedules post no later than 12:00 noon Central on Saturday, July 3, 2027. Bracket schedules are not sent in advance; they post as pool play finishes.

The Southern Nationals is not a stay-to-play event. Your team books wherever it wants - no required hotel, no room-block minimum, no penalty for staying with family or driving in each day.

Three team events for 8U–14U, run Thursday during pool play. Optional and free for every registered team. Times and field locations are announced on site. A sign-up sheet goes out to coaches about 5 days before the event.

Awards go to the winning team in each event. All participants must be on the team’s registered roster. Players can compete in uniform or athletic clothing.

MVP medals are awarded in pool games only. Medals are handed out at the field during pool play.
Bracket games do not have MVP awards.

Yes. Opening Ceremonies are Wednesday, July 7. Only team managers need to attend check-in, but players are encouraged to come, and teams are encouraged to dress up for the parade. The venue and times are still TBA and post here as soon as they are confirmed.
Entry is $699–$899 by division (8U $699 · 9U–14U $899) and covers your team's games, umpires, USSSA sanction and the awards package. It does not include gate admission for spectators.
The gate is cashless: card at the gate or buy passes online ahead of time. Buying online before the weekend costs less than the walk-up gate price. Kids 17 and under are free. Each team's manager receives coach passes by text before the event. 2027 gate prices post when tickets go on sale.
100% refund if you drop by Wednesday, June 23, 2027 at 5:00 PM CT. Email info@DFWSoftball.com to drop. After that deadline, entry fees are non-refundable.

Yes on both. Player trading cards are back for 2027 - the order link posts on this page later. MVP medals are awarded in pool games only.
Hats go to the Gold bracket only. Divisions with 20 or more teams award Elite 8 hats; divisions with 12 to 19 teams award Final 4 hats. A division gets one or the other, never both, and divisions under 12 teams do not award hats. Details: Championship hats.
